This is the first summer we have had summer gardens. After a lot of research we have been experimenting with several different variety of plants that are supposed to be able to grow in our long hot Florida summers. We have tomatoes which do not usually grow well in the heat. Many plants will grow and produce flowers but will not produce fruit in 90 degree plus weather. Tomatoes are usually one of these plants. Next summer I will be experimenting with more different types of plants. Hopefully I will have better productive summer gardens.
